As children of God, there are so many things that sets us part. We have been called to stand out and not blend with the world. What makes us God’s children is the exhibition of His traits. Yes, we have His genes at work in us because God created man in His own image, after his likeness. Genesis 1: 26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
Not only has He given us power over every creature but over every situation! The devil can mess with the world but not a child of God because though we are in the world, we are not of the world. Even in the world, there is a divine hedge about us; we have been distinguished by His spirit upon us which empowers us to ride above the world.
The spiritual overpowers everything around us. the spirit of God elevates us above the sensuality of our situations; He gives us revelations through His word which builds our faith to overrule situations that seek to suppress us and thereby distract our assignment on earth. As the word of God says in 1 John 5:4 “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.”
we are not of this world because already, through our faith, we have overcome the world; if we have overcome the world, that means we are more than what the world presents! We are strong when the world is weak, we are rich when the world speaks poverty, we speak and live abundance and divine overflow when the world speaks scarcity. We are healed and prospering in our soul and body when the world speaks ill health! These are because as children of God, we live not by our situations but by the revelation of the Spirit of God!
We live spiritually in the physical realm. Now, the spiritual identifies and flows with the spiritual. Set yourself apart from the world as a child of God; distinguish yourself, live by the fruits of the spirit for we have been called out of the world to shine to the glory of our father in heaven. Galatians 5:22-25 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit”
Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and give glory to your father who is in heaven” Lets arise and shine for we are a royal priesthood, a chosen generation, peculiar people, an holy nation, citizens of heaven called forth out of darkness to give glory to our Father in heaven by manifesting His good works!
Even as Jesus prayed for His disciples in John 17:15-17 “I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth…. i pray that we be sanctified by his WORD in Jesus’ name, Amen!! Blessings!
