Your Nothing-God’s Something

Whenever you find yourself wandering through the valley of the shadows of death, scarcity, sickness, sorrow etc. Remember God never forsakes us. He is always available to provide us with the needed resource to sail through. You may not see deliverance but God sees it right under your nose. God works from angles we least expect just to show us He is God alone and just as the heavens are higher than the earth so are His ways and thoughts higher than ours. He does not operate from human perspective, He operates divinely and that’s what makes Him GOD!

God is not only associated with the rich, He is not found in only the mega churches; He said where two or more are gathered together in His name, He is present with them! As a matter of fact, He does not avail himself to only the righteous, He is more available to the unjust because he came to save the unjust! God is present in both big and small things!

Do not write yourself off because you think you have nothing! I came to announce to you, you are exactly what God needs to perform that miracle. You are loaded but its just that you cannot see it! Our human resources are small and the work is great, but God can take our most feeble efforts and multiply them.

2 Kings 4:1-7 ;

The wife of a man from the company of the prophets cried out to Elisha, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that he revered the Lord. But now his creditor is coming to take my two boys as his slaves.” Elisha replied to her, “How can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house?” “Your servant has nothing there at all,” she said, “except a small jar of olive oil.”

Elisha did not give the widow a million dollars to pay off her creditors, he didn’t command cash to rain down from heaven neither did he pray that the creditors will forget their debtor but he asked the widow what she had! Today i ask you the same question : what do you have ? (That God can multiply to be a miracle)?

I guess just as many of us, the widow expected Elisha to give her money or something other than asking her what she had at home.  “I do not have anything and that is why i have come to you!” The widow must have thought to herself before telling him she only has a jar of oil which must have meant nothing to her!

 The widow did not consider the jar of oil as something of significance God can use as a solution to her woes; it is the same way we do not have regard and respect for the things we do! You are a tomato seller and you think its useless, you are a coconut seller, an usher in the church, cleaner in the church and you covert the head pastor, the deacon, counselor, accountant, banker, politician because you think that is where the blessing lies! Unless God opens your eyes to see the greatness in seemingly little things, we will end up burying our blessings! I pray every scale will fall off and the eyes of our understanding be enlightened through His word. Amen. Isaiah 60:22“The least of you will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation. I am the LORD; in its time I will do this swiftly.”

The smallest gift, talent, skill can be maximized to greatness!

Today, i am here to open your eyes by the oracles of the LORD; whatever you need to succeed in this life lies with you. You have it with you; it may be a talent, skill, job etc you are not taking into account. God is pleased to use little things and “little” people to achieve His purposes. 1 Corinthians 1:27 “But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty”

When Moses gave the LORD so many excuses for not being the right person to confront Pharaoh, when he asked for a sign to make the people believe, God asked him: what do you have in your hand? Moses would never have thought the common rod which he uses to lead the flock would be his weapon of miracles and mass destruction to the enemies of God! When the spirit of God is upon the least of things, it becomes the greatest!

I do not know what it is you are burying in the name of being nothing;  but i want you to consider the end of the servant who buried his one bag of gold because he considered it little. Matthew 25:14-30.

Do not disrespect the little you have. The least of potentials or gifts can do the greatest exploits and take you to the highest places.  Do not think you are useless, you have a potential you can maximize to bless the world! The world is waiting on you to make a difference with your gift! Work it out! You have greatness within you because greater is the one at work in you than the one in the world.

Matthew 14:15-21 “As evening approached, the disciples came to him and said, “This is a remote place, and it’s already getting late. Send the crowds away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food.” Jesus replied, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.”We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered. “Bring them here to me,” he said. And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. The number of those who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children.”

 Your gift, business, ministry etc. may seem nothing but be thankful for it. If we are thankful for the little things, He will grant us the power to multiply them to become great.

Now, get ready! Enlarge your coast, expand your thinking, look with faith eyes, see it big because out of NOTHING (the earth was empty and without form..Genesis 1:2), God created SOMETHING(Genesis 1:3-36)! Prepare for greatness because God is about to pour you a blessing that there will not be room enough to contain it! Blessings!Cynthia Clive
