The breath of God is the Spirit of God. The Spirit of God gives life; it is the Spirit that transforms! A life without the Spirit of God is as good as dead. There are lots of people walking but dead spiritually! Revelation 3:1 “…I know all the things you do, and that you have a reputation for being alive—but you are dead.
It is only the spirit of God that can quicken us; its by His spirit we can be profitable in all endeavors. Without the Spirit of God, we will be void and useless. A marriage, ministry, business etc without the Spirit of God will end on the rocks! Romans 8:11 “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you.”
In Genesis 1:2, the earth was without form and empty (of no use), darkness was upon the face of the deep and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. The Spirit of God moved on the waters to effect a change; to bring the earth back in order, to rescue it from its lifeless form and give it life!
The Spirit of God comes to give life; to bring about a divine transformation! Every now and then, we loose the essence of our beings basking in the carnal! The flesh profits nothing, but the spirit quickens. If we give space to the flesh, we drive out the Spirit for it cannot dwell with Sin! Light and darkness (good and evil) have nothing in common and that is why when God created the light, He separated it from the darkness because He saw that the light was good! Genesis 1:3-4 “And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness” Its either you are dead or living! You are either good or bad; you cannot be both at the same time!
Let the Spirit of God have preeminence in your life; allow God breathe life into you, into your marriage, your ministry, family and everything that has to do with you! Surrender to Him and let Him resurrect the dry bones! He asked the prophet Ezekiel to prophesy to the dry bones and ask them to hear the word of the LORD because the word of God is spirit and is life!
John 6:63 “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”
Ezekiel 37:4 “Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’ ”
Now, i entreat you to connect with the word of God which is spirit that will breathe life into every dead area of your life! The word of God is Jesus; He was made flesh and He dwelt among men! He said “I am the way, the truth and the life…” John 14:6
If you study the word and live by the word (live in close fellowship with God), you attract the Spirit of God; He comes to dwell in you and order your steps! He breathes life into you and brings order where there is disorder!
Today, i pray that the Spirit (breath) of God arrest (enter) us to bring form to every formlessness and fill every emptiness in our lives! Even as Ezekiel prophesied, i charge you to prophesy as well in the name of Jesus to every dryness in your life; command the breath of God to come from the four winds, to breathe into every dead situation that they may live! Come on and prophesy son of man!
