I don’t know what believers would have done without prayer; if we understand what it means to pray, we will appreciate it and commit to it daily. No wonder we are admonished in God’s word to pray without ceasing- 1 Thessalonians 5:17.
When we pray; we communicate with God, we build an intimate relationship with him; we acknowledge and submit to His supremacy, power and ability to help us. He in turn is moved to lift us up because of our humility!
If we lift Him up in prayers, He will lift us in praise. If we draw near, He will draw near-one way to draw near is to talk to God always; PRAY! James 4:7-10
Prayer births hope, sound mind, peace, praise etc
The song writer said in the song
“what a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear,
What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer,
Oh what peace we often forfeit, oh what needless pain we bear..
All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer…”
So i ask “have you trials and temptations? is there trouble anywhere?
